Florianópolis has a busy week: CIC hosts the show Dazaranha & Camerata Florianópolis for three consecutive nights, TAC presents the Fourth Symphony with repertoire from Bach to Mozart, and May 1st marks the official opening of the 2026 Mullet Harvest Season at Campeche Beach. Tradition and Culture — Mullet Harvest Season
Official Opening of the 2026 Mullet Harvest Season
05/01 (Friday, Labor Day). Campeche Beach (Rancho Getúlio Manoel Inácio) and Moçambique Beach (Rancho Parelha Atobá). Programming: community breakfast, mass, procession with traditional fishermen, fleet blessing, capoeira performances, artisanal fishing workshops, and educational activity from the Tamar Project.
